Sustained, deep listening is difficult — and is the most effective communication and leadership tool you have.

Please join facilitators from the Stanley H. King Institute for this interactive workshop designed for any student-facing members of your school community. In this two-hour, highly interactive introduction to the work of the full Institute, we will:

Learn why listening in order to understand (rather than to reply) matters

Be introduced to specific tools that will help tether us to our intention to listen deeply

Practice deep listening within contexts that are often charged with feeling

Gain insight into specific ways our minds wander away from our intention to listen

Intended audience

This event is for all educators and will focus on communication with other adults, including parents and fellow faculty.
