PD Guide brings together professional development from well known organizations across the independent school community, updated daily. A few organizations are listed here for reference only, with events available on their own sites.
What gets added
PD Guide is a directory of professional development that organizations publish themselves. The criteria below explain what gets added.
- Fit: Does the organization offer professional development for independent school educators — faculty, administrators, and staff?
- Established presence: Is the organization already known to independent school educators? PD Guide indexes well known providers (membership associations, university programs, and other organizations schools already work with) rather than serving as a discovery service for new ones.
- Who can attend: Are events available to educators beyond a single institution?
- Ongoing programming: Does the organization run PD on a continuing basis rather than a one-time event?
- Published calendar: Does the organization publish its events publicly, on a page that stays current?
- Coverage: Is the organization already listed, or covered by a source already in the directory?
Every suggestion tells us something about what independent school educators value. If organizations are added, their events appear in the directory as they're indexed.
