Who Should Attend?

Pastoral leaders, leaders of health and wellbeing, boarding staff, school counsellors, educational psychologists, and leaders of support departments in boys' schools.

Format

IBSC Ideas Lab attendees participate in three scheduled one-hour calls using Zoom. Georgina's West, Deputy Headmaster and Head of Secondary School, Prince Alfred College (Australia) facilitates each session.

Georgina West

Georgina West joined Prince Alfred College in 2025 as Deputy Headmaster and Head of Secondary School.

Throughout her career, West has held a range of executive leadership positions, including Acting Head of Middle School at Wilderness School and Head of Senior School at Walford Anglican School for Girls. Her leadership has been shaped by a commitment to academic and pastoral care, creating environments that combine high expectations with high levels of support. Supporting students, challenging them appropriately, and witnessing their growth continues to be a deeply rewarding aspect of her work.

As Deputy Headmaster and Head of Secondary School, West is responsible for the overall operations and pastoral leadership of the Secondary School, including Years 7–9 and Years 10–12, as well as the Boarding House, and Outdoor Education programs. She also attends all Council meetings as well as Risk and Compliance meetings.

West holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Human Movement and Health Studies) and Bachelor of Education (Physical Education, Middle and Secondary Years) from the University of South Australia. She also earned a Master of Education from the University of Melbourne and…
