This outstanding seminar is specifically designed for secondary mathematics educators who want to make best use of the FREE Desmos calculator and Desmos Activities to greatly enhance mathematics learning and instruction. Experienced secondary mathematics teacher Andy Malbouef will share practical, effective ways to use Desmos to build strong conceptual understanding and increase student success in math. Enable students to deepen learning by constructing their own mathematical understanding. Increase students' confidence in their mathematical abilities, especially when faced with new concepts or challenging questions. Discover how the Desmos online calculator is much more than just a replacement for a handheld device. As secondary math educators, getting our students authentically motivated and engaged in learning mathematics can be challenging! I've specifically designed this live online seminar to focus on all aspects of the Desmos platform and based on my 32 years as a secondary math teacher. This won't be theoretical: I practice what I preach, and you'll experience Desmos from a math teacher's perspective. I'm excited to share how to make best use of free Desmos tasks and activities to greatly enhance your math instruction. You'll get the chance to engage in some build-along opportunities through the day. Plus, you will receive my Desmos digital handbook, which is packed with practical resources and instructions.
