About this event

Today's professional standards set a high bar for world language teachers. This NEW seminar will go beyond talking about topics by showing you HOW to utilize practical AI tools, techniques, and strategies in your own classroom. In this seminar, award-winning world language teacher Rachelle Dené Poth models the best ways to use AI to promote language acquisition and help students to develop essential future-ready skills. Explore how to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to quickly create more engaging and differentiated world language lessons; develop, and use more meaningful and relevant assessments on the spot; foster greater student innovation, motivation, and critical thinking; improve your classroom efficiency and productivity; and much more! Learn how you can use AI emerging technologies to help your students significantly improve their language skills and embrace the latest ideas for what learning a language looks like. Every strategy has been implemented and revised in Rachelle's own world language classroom, and she will share her experiences and best practices with you so you can immediately adapt these ideas to your classroom – any age group, any language, and any language level.

You will leave this seminar with an extensive world language digital resource handbook and dozens of practical strategies and timesaving AI tools and protocols you can use immediately to improve student success in all your world language classes.

Today's world language teachers face numerous challenges in the classroom. From limited resources to diverse student needs, it can be overwhelming to meet the demands of modern language education. As a world language and a STEAM emerging technology teacher, I am always looking for new ways to increase my productivity and better engage my students in learning. It didn't take long for me to realize that AI could have tremendous potential to enhance the way I teach and how my students learn languages. By embracing these innovative ideas, I quickly and easily created more personalized and engaging learning experiences for my students and, with minimal effort thanks to our new tools, helped them develop the language skills they need to succeed in my classroom and in our increasingly globalized world.

I believe that AI should not be used simply as a substitute for traditional teaching methods, but as a complement that enhances and enriches the language learning experience as well as improving my own efficiency and productivity as a teacher. By incorporating AI into my world language lessons, I can engage my students in a way that makes language learning more interesting and relevant to their lives. They can see how this technology can be used to bridge cultural and linguistic barriers and how their language skills might be applied in real-world scenarios. My goal for this NEW one-day seminar is to introduce you to the latest developments in AI and how they can be used to better support teaching and learning in your grades 6-12 world language classes.

If you are ready to engage your students in a whole new way and discover ways to improve your productivity and free up your valuable time, join me for this unique one-day seminar and discover the power of AI in language learning. My goal is that you will leave feeling both inspired and equipped to use AI tools in your own world language classes. Whether you are a seasoned educator or just starting out, there is something for everyone in this one-day seminar!

P.S. I invite you to grab your professional passport and join me for an idea-packed AI day trip! Leave room in your bag to return with oodles of fresh, practical ideas you can implement in your world language classes immediately!
