About this event

Don't miss this opportunity to expand your expertise in appropriately planning for and managing school medical emergencies. In this interactive seminar, outstanding school nurse and national presenter Evilia Jankowski will equip you with dozens of practical ideas for responding more successfully to school medical emergencies. Gain strategies for streamlining school medical emergency plans and incorporating medical emergency situations into existing school safety/crisis plans. Build confidence in your nursing assessment skills with the latest tips and tools to better identify and appropriately respond to school medical emergencies. Create a self-care plan to help you remain at your best in continuing to recognize, react and respond as the health professional in your school. Evilia will share best practices and valuable resources to ensure you stay on top of your game and successfully address medical emergencies for optimal outcomes.

Join Evilia for a day full of evidence-based, practical, and proven ways you can help safeguard the school community in which you work. Be the calm, capable leader your school community needs.

Medical emergencies occur in our schools – and inevitably, they happen when we least expect them. Because these situations are so unpredictable, it's impossible to master all the skills necessary for every response. Yet we know when we don't practice a skill regularly, we get rusty. What if you had the tools to refresh your skills?

I've designed this seminar to sharpen your skills in identifying and responding effectively to school medical emergencies. You'll learn strategies to develop comprehensive protocols for the best response to any medical emergency. We'll explore practical resources for equipping school staff with the training they need. Gain easy-to-incorporate emergency response strategies to enhance and strengthen existing school safety plans.

Since up to 25% of childhood injuries occur at school, this seminar will enhance your ability to quickly identify emergent injuries. I will share easy-to-remember mnemonics that will sharpen your assessment skills and save valuable time in responding to serious injuries. In addition, you'll receive the latest updates and best practices for providing care until EMS arrives.

I'm thrilled to spend the day with you, sharing the best resources for boosting your confidence and knowledge as the leader of medical emergency response in your schools. I want to help you be at your best when your workday is interrupted by a medical emergency.

P.S. I look forward to sharing the best practices and resources for achieving positive outcomes in responding to school medical emergencies.
